France 2 and Paris Match always silent: they don’t want to admit their fault. Reaction of CPCR.

MR THUILLER AND MR ROYAN ,

Last February  5, 2015, I sent you a letter on behalf of our association and the victims that we embody, a protest letter to Mr Thevenot , a journalist and the guest of the day : YOU Mr ROYAN , about the “misconduct”  in TELE MATIN broadcasted January , 31.

The 1994 Tutsi genocide was presented as “ the Rwandan genocide, during which Hutu had been entirely exterminated by Tutsi “This distorted truth  regarding history had raised much emotion among victims and all those who know and support the historical truth. On February3, Mr THEVENOT, at the end of his chronicle had briefly recognized that it was , indeed , “the Tutsi genocide by Hutu, ending by a short  :”that’s that” which could be interpreted in many different ways.

Your silence , following the mail I sent you, personally, shocked all the people who had been awestruck by that  “incident”. We might have thought that we’d get a written and sincere apology for your “blunder”. We’d have accepted it and considered that the so called “mistake” was part of the rush and medias pressure. ; We’d have liked to feel some compassion , even empathy on your part , towards the victims of the Tutsi genocide. Nothing of that sort : a contemptuous silence , unworthy of men supposed to editorialize. “ to err is human” the saying says, but, is it really an error ? This question is rather legitimate considering the lack of reaction you display.

So , I deliberately send you the “open letter” we published recently. I guess this mail which I send you today won’t have any answer either. But, at least, you will understand the huge responsibility you take when you broadcast facts against the historic truth , which are part of the genocide denial we can feel  around. Some sort of “correction” is not enough in front of  such a shocking statement. MR THULLIER and MR  ROYANT , MR  THEVENOT ,you who received our first letter , be sure that our only aim is to refuse that “lies” heard  on the medias bring confusion in people’s mind . We have to fight for justice to the victims , and almost every week , we have to denounce partial assertions, if not deliberate lies , that we can find on social networks. Enough is enough.

Sirs, please  accept the expression of our disappointment but also the anger we sometimes  have and never forget the respect we owe to all the people who want to hear the truth .we hesitate to  grant you this respect , considering  your lack of it towards the victims of the Tutsi genocide .
